Your response was overwhelming. We received over 2000 entries and the contest has been reported all over the world. The Flickr pages, where they are stored, has had over 2 million views.
Orginally we were planning to ask a panel of designers to judge the entries, but because the response was so amazing we would also like you to pick a winner.
You'll see that we've taken the liberty of shortlisting a number of logos under the Rebranded Logo category. These are some of the simplest, most eye-catching designs which instantly do the job of telling the world what BP is really about. We will use your choice from this category and the designer panel selection in our ongoing campaign against BP.

But because there was no way we could include all of the works of genius in our Rebranded Logo shortlist, we've added four extra categories to the competition, just for fun (you can vote for one image in each category):
Best Illustration - vote now »
Best Wildlife - vote now »
Best Slogan - vote now »
WTF?! - vote now »
The sixth and final category for best overall design will be judged by a panel of design experts.
Prizes
The winner of the Rebranded Logo and the Best Overall Design categories will both be offered a day of training on one of the Greenpeace inflatable boats, and the option of a day with a top design agency. Both of these will take place in London - but we're not going to fly you here (see our aviation campaign) so a replacement prize will be offered if the overall winner is an international entry.
Winners in the other categories will each receive a Greenpeace goody bag (along with public adulation and worldwide acclaim...), as will everyone who made it onto the Rebranded Logo shortlist.
The shortlisting
The shortlisting of the designs was an incredibly difficult process and involved several people, lots of head scratching and a few sleepless nights. One of the problems was that many of the designs used very similar themes, slogans and imagery - in these cases, we chose our favourite. In some cases though, identical designs were submitted by several people. Where this happened, we tried to choose the first entry we received, but if we've got this wrong and you think your exact design has been attributed to someone else, please let us know.
A lot of people submitted multiple entries, in which case we only shortlisted a maximum of one design per person per category. This meant some fantastic entries didn't make it into any shortlists, so make sure you have a browse of the Flickr set to see them all.
Finally, we're sorry that the original plans for the under 16 and professional categories didn't materialise. We received a huge flood of entries via Flickr, email and post and many of them didn't include the information we needed to categorise them. We've tried to include a balance of Under 16s entries in the shortlists to make up for this.
Finally, to everyone who entered, thank you - we can honestly say we loved every single design. The quality was so good that some brilliant entries didn't make it into our shortlists - check out all the logos on Flickr to see what we mean.
